The day trip hut is situated along Pyhä-Luosto Hiking Trail in between Huttutunturi Fell and Latvavaara Hill within Pyhä-Luosto National Park, near its eastern boundary. In winter time there is a skiing trail via the hut.
Pets are permitted in the hut, but only in case that other visitors agree with it. Make sure you pack a first-aid kit.
Hikers are asked to bring their own waste out of the area.
