Visited in July 2026, the picnic/children’s play area was abandoned and in bad shape.
Presence of a running water fountain next to it.
Possible to pitch a tent in the picnic area at night or further down into the forest.
Only saw a couple of cars on the parking lot the following morning without any interaction.
Great to access the nearby service station if you’re hitchhiking (better than the main highway entrance in my opinion).
