Allemansrätten (right to roam) generally allows pitching for a night or two on uncultivated land, away from homes and out of sight of dwellings.
Informational only — always check current local rules and get landowner permission where needed.
The perfect alternative to the really very ugly Stenshult Vindskydd, which is located next to a sports field. The campsite is absolutely lonely. There is no path leading to the camp site. You should follow the coordinates to find it. The last few hundred meters of the way there are somewhat difficult, but it is quite doable. There is a fireplace and you can find enough wood nearby. There is room to pitch a medium sized tent (or maybe two small ones). You can swim in the lake and the water is drinkable. There are many blueberry bushes growing around the campsite. The place seems to be absolutely unknown. We found it by accident a few years ago and have been there several times. We never saw anyone else there and the fireplace was overgrown with plants each time. So it is rarely used. We probably won't return to Bohusleden anytime soon, so it's time to reveal the secret and show other hikers this great place.
