Allemansrätten (right to roam) generally allows pitching for a night or two on uncultivated land, away from homes and out of sight of dwellings.
Informational only — always check current local rules and get landowner permission where needed.
Small vindskydd with view on Glafsfjorden and next to a hiking trail along several remnants from prehistoric times and several beautiful viewpoints. Unfortunately the way to the vindskydd is forbidden to drive on, except locals, so nearest parking is about 1 km away at the 175. It is a very nice spot to spend an evening at the fire and sleeping should be possible too. It looks very small but I tried and I fit in the length in the vindskydd (I am 1.82m). When I was here a little stock of firewood was present, but it doesn't look very permanent, so I am not sure if this is always the case.
The Roof is little bit broken so water runs in the corners. If you are alone it’s ok.

A major milestone: we've rebuilt Camp Wild from the ground up.
The whole site is now faster, lighter on mobile data, and works smoothly even on a weak signal out in the wild.
- The map loads thousands of spots without slowing down.
- Pages open instantly and use far less data.
- Every spot now has its own link, so sharing a place is easy.
- Map markers no longer duplicate or get stuck while panning and zooming.
- Coordinates read from a photo are now accurate, with a clear message when a photo has no location data.
- Sign-in, comments, and reports are more reliable.
We're continuing to polish the new experience. Spotted something off? Use the Report button on any spot — thank you for helping keep the map accurate.
