Allemansrätten (right to roam) generally allows pitching for a night or two on uncultivated land, away from homes and out of sight of dwellings.
Informational only — always check current local rules and get landowner permission where needed.
Old log-cabin that once was used as temporay home for the people working with rafting logs on the brook next to it. Almost like a museum but offers even space for overnight stays on benches (see pictures).
Requires a short hike (app. 400m) from the next minor forest road (N 60.999435, E 13.128968) or a little longer hike (1.3 km) from Äråvägen (N 61.007109, E 13.11406). There are signs at the trailheads but most of the orange trail markers are gone or hardly visible.

A major milestone: we've rebuilt Camp Wild from the ground up.
The whole site is now faster, lighter on mobile data, and works smoothly even on a weak signal out in the wild.
- The map loads thousands of spots without slowing down.
- Pages open instantly and use far less data.
- Every spot now has its own link, so sharing a place is easy.
- Map markers no longer duplicate or get stuck while panning and zooming.
- Coordinates read from a photo are now accurate, with a clear message when a photo has no location data.
- Sign-in, comments, and reports are more reliable.
We're continuing to polish the new experience. Spotted something off? Use the Report button on any spot — thank you for helping keep the map accurate.
