Allemansrätten (right to roam) generally allows pitching for a night or two on uncultivated land, away from homes and out of sight of dwellings.
Informational only — always check current local rules and get landowner permission where needed.
Walk 2km east from the parking lot towards the sauna. Just follow orange marks. You will first see the sauna, and just around the small hill there's the shelter.
You will find a basic outhouse but bring your own toilet paper. No drinking water. It's a very calm place with a beautiful lake where you can take a swim.
You need to book the sauna in advance. It's usually fully booked, but they release the dates continuously.

A major milestone: we've rebuilt Camp Wild from the ground up.
The whole site is now faster, lighter on mobile data, and works smoothly even on a weak signal out in the wild.
- The map loads thousands of spots without slowing down.
- Pages open instantly and use far less data.
- Every spot now has its own link, so sharing a place is easy.
- Map markers no longer duplicate or get stuck while panning and zooming.
- Coordinates read from a photo are now accurate, with a clear message when a photo has no location data.
- Sign-in, comments, and reports are more reliable.
We're continuing to polish the new experience. Spotted something off? Use the Report button on any spot — thank you for helping keep the map accurate.
