Wild camping is generally not permitted; use designated sites. A single-night bivouac may be tolerated in some areas, but rules vary by Land and nature-protection status.

On the edge of the Hüttener Mountains lies the Colonistenhof on an area of about 18 hectares. Here you will find hiking trails with sculptures, an animal enclosure with sheep, goats and chickens as well as an information building where you can experience the Hüttener Berge region first-hand.
Nature lovers who would like to spend a night under the stars have the opportunity to stay overnight.
The 500 m2 large square is located behind the bakery, the first building on the right of the entrance. Sanitary facilities are available.

A major milestone: we've rebuilt Camp Wild from the ground up.
The whole site is now faster, lighter on mobile data, and works smoothly even on a weak signal out in the wild.
- The map loads thousands of spots without slowing down.
- Pages open instantly and use far less data.
- Every spot now has its own link, so sharing a place is easy.
- Map markers no longer duplicate or get stuck while panning and zooming.
- Coordinates read from a photo are now accurate, with a clear message when a photo has no location data.
- Sign-in, comments, and reports are more reliable.
