Wild camping is generally not permitted; use designated sites. A single-night bivouac may be tolerated in some areas, but rules vary by Land and nature-protection status.
Informational only — always check current local rules and get landowner permission where needed.
The Gruber Seewiesen are a several-hectare area of the Foundation for Nature Conservation Schleswig-Holstein, which has been extensively grazing for several years. The birdwatching station is only a few hundred metres from the farm.
The Mühlenhof is located in the north of Grube directly at the Oldenburger Graben. Along the courtyard there is the international cycling trail and the Mönchsweg.
On our farm we are happy to offer friendly people the opportunity to set up their tent for one night. A longer stay is possible in the sense of WWOOF. Please register for each stay by using https://meeresbrise.de/wildcamping
Note: This place is only available for bikers & hikers!

A major milestone: we've rebuilt Camp Wild from the ground up.
The whole site is now faster, lighter on mobile data, and works smoothly even on a weak signal out in the wild.
- The map loads thousands of spots without slowing down.
- Pages open instantly and use far less data.
- Every spot now has its own link, so sharing a place is easy.
- Map markers no longer duplicate or get stuck while panning and zooming.
- Coordinates read from a photo are now accurate, with a clear message when a photo has no location data.
- Sign-in, comments, and reports are more reliable.
We're continuing to polish the new experience. Spotted something off? Use the Report button on any spot — thank you for helping keep the map accurate.
