Wild camping is generally not permitted; use designated sites. A single-night bivouac may be tolerated in some areas, but rules vary by Land and nature-protection status.
Informational only — always check current local rules and get landowner permission where needed.
This place is located just outside Kosel, nestled between a pasture and a “dog free running area” on a hiking trail.
In the surrounding area there are pastures, young forests and a high forest. An Au flows through the landscape and offers excellent conditions for observing animals such as deer, deer and rabbits. With a little luck and peace you can also see the owl, black woodpecker and kingfisher. In the village there is a village shop, where you can stock up with the necessary. An insider tip is the small bathing spot on Lake Bültsee, right in the nature reserve. There is also a bathing area at the Schlei.
These areas are kindly offered by Thiemo Florek from Kosel.
Registration for the overnight stay is not required.

A major milestone: we've rebuilt Camp Wild from the ground up.
The whole site is now faster, lighter on mobile data, and works smoothly even on a weak signal out in the wild.
- The map loads thousands of spots without slowing down.
- Pages open instantly and use far less data.
- Every spot now has its own link, so sharing a place is easy.
- Map markers no longer duplicate or get stuck while panning and zooming.
- Coordinates read from a photo are now accurate, with a clear message when a photo has no location data.
- Sign-in, comments, and reports are more reliable.
We're continuing to polish the new experience. Spotted something off? Use the Report button on any spot — thank you for helping keep the map accurate.
