Wild camping is generally not permitted; use designated sites. A single-night bivouac may be tolerated in some areas, but rules vary by Land and nature-protection status.
Informational only — always check current local rules and get landowner permission where needed.
The privately offered Bivouac is located in a wooded area on the edge of the Langenberger Forst State Forest near the community of Enge-Sande.
An economic path leads from the Enger-Straße up into the forest. The small clearing surrounded by old and young trees overlooking arable land and the village offers shelter and enough space for 2-3 tents. Ca . 100m away there is a small pond, which usually carries water. Here, too, camping in case of lack of space on the clearing is possible without any problems.
Registration is not required, sanitary facilities are not available. Barbecues are not allowed.

A major milestone: we've rebuilt Camp Wild from the ground up.
The whole site is now faster, lighter on mobile data, and works smoothly even on a weak signal out in the wild.
- The map loads thousands of spots without slowing down.
- Pages open instantly and use far less data.
- Every spot now has its own link, so sharing a place is easy.
- Map markers no longer duplicate or get stuck while panning and zooming.
- Coordinates read from a photo are now accurate, with a clear message when a photo has no location data.
- Sign-in, comments, and reports are more reliable.
We're continuing to polish the new experience. Spotted something off? Use the Report button on any spot — thank you for helping keep the map accurate.
