Wild camping is generally not permitted; use designated sites. A single-night bivouac may be tolerated in some areas, but rules vary by Land and nature-protection status.
Informational only — always check current local rules and get landowner permission where needed.
Refuge with seating inside and outside.
The refuge was a project of the waykeeper Johann Bialdyga and was inaugurated on 11.06.2016, on his 75th birthday. He paid the material costs of 1500 euros out of his own pocket. He dedicated it to the Mother of God, whose statue stands inside. Furthermore, a rather large rosary hangs on the wall.
The condition of the hut is also impeccable in June 2024.

A major milestone: we've rebuilt Camp Wild from the ground up.
The whole site is now faster, lighter on mobile data, and works smoothly even on a weak signal out in the wild.
- The map loads thousands of spots without slowing down.
- Pages open instantly and use far less data.
- Every spot now has its own link, so sharing a place is easy.
- Map markers no longer duplicate or get stuck while panning and zooming.
- Coordinates read from a photo are now accurate, with a clear message when a photo has no location data.
- Sign-in, comments, and reports are more reliable.
We're continuing to polish the new experience. Spotted something off? Use the Report button on any spot — thank you for helping keep the map accurate.
