This unmanned refuge has an elevation change of 310 metres and is open all year round. It holds 4 people, enjoys good telephone coverage and its services and facilities include a chimney, table and bench. Although, if you need more space, right beside the refuge you will find a log cabin with a table and 3 more benches. This refuge has no external water source, although you can find one less than 200 metres away.
To access the Besalí Refuge, you can travel by car to the car park of Canya de la Rabassa, travel down 170 metres in the direction of Besalí, and once there, you will have to continue the route on foot for almost an hour, until you reach the refuge.
The level of difficulty in reaching the refuge is moderate, and maintenance and cleaning is carried out during summer months.

A major milestone: we've rebuilt Camp Wild from the ground up.
The whole site is now faster, lighter on mobile data, and works smoothly even on a weak signal out in the wild.
- The map loads thousands of spots without slowing down.
- Pages open instantly and use far less data.
- Every spot now has its own link, so sharing a place is easy.
- Map markers no longer duplicate or get stuck while panning and zooming.
- Coordinates read from a photo are now accurate, with a clear message when a photo has no location data.
- Sign-in, comments, and reports are more reliable.
We're continuing to polish the new experience. Spotted something off? Use the Report button on any spot — thank you for helping keep the map accurate.
