It can hold up to 10 people without the guardian. To get to the Cabana de la Vall del Riu, we go by car to Els Plans de Ransol, and then continue on foot for approximately 2 hours along the path of Els Plans to the hut after a climb of 750 metres. This is a stone building opened in 1981 and has bunks and spring outside. The hut is not guarded and is open all year, but it is usually maintained in the summer months (cleaning, firewood, first aid kits...). The difficulty of the route to the hut is medium-high with a climb of 390 metres. There is a telephone signal 100 metres further down.
