Allemansrätten (right to roam) generally allows pitching for a night or two on uncultivated land, away from homes and out of sight of dwellings.
Informational only — always check current local rules and get landowner permission where needed.
On an island in the lake Kläggen
Wood: no split wood, but many cubes laid out at the back and in a small wood store. In addition, many windfalls partially cut up to cubes, saw and axe are missing however
Barbecue facilities: yes, outdoor, grills available. In the cottage there was a small iron stove
Toilet: yes, one locked and one open between the 1st shelter and the cottage, about 60m away
Sleeping area: floor 7x5m + bunk bed (2-?(many!)
There were bins in several places on the island but I don't know how it works with emptying out there. It is supposed to be the village team that looks after the island, I was told by acquaintances.
Connection: by own boat, 900m from public bathing area.

A major milestone: we've rebuilt Camp Wild from the ground up.
The whole site is now faster, lighter on mobile data, and works smoothly even on a weak signal out in the wild.
- The map loads thousands of spots without slowing down.
- Pages open instantly and use far less data.
- Every spot now has its own link, so sharing a place is easy.
- Map markers no longer duplicate or get stuck while panning and zooming.
- Coordinates read from a photo are now accurate, with a clear message when a photo has no location data.
- Sign-in, comments, and reports are more reliable.
We're continuing to polish the new experience. Spotted something off? Use the Report button on any spot — thank you for helping keep the map accurate.
