Wild camping here: Generally allowed

Allemansrätten (right to roam) generally allows pitching for a night or two on uncultivated land, away from homes and out of sight of dwellings.

Description

Old but very solidly built shelter with a new roof in 2025.
There was firewood when I was there – plenty of it under a tarp along the path to the shelter.
You can park by the small gravel road and walk about 120 meters down to the shelter, which is beautifully located by the water.
A bit tricky on a motorcycle unless it’s an adventure or enduro bike.

Swimming possible, fire pit with grill grate, space for 4 adults.

All in all, a truly lovely spot – completely secluded.

A major milestone: we've rebuilt Camp Wild from the ground up.

The whole site is now faster, lighter on mobile data, and works smoothly even on a weak signal out in the wild.
- The map loads thousands of spots without slowing down.
- Pages open instantly and use far less data.
- Every spot now has its own link, so sharing a place is easy.

Improvements

- Map markers no longer duplicate or get stuck while panning and zooming.
- Coordinates read from a photo are now accurate, with a clear message when a photo has no location data.
- Sign-in, comments, and reports are more reliable.
