Allemansrätten (right to roam) generally allows pitching for a night or two on uncultivated land, away from homes and out of sight of dwellings.
Informational only — always check current local rules and get landowner permission where needed.
August 2018: this cover is not in the best condition and does not seem to be used anymore. But in a beautiful place. There was an active electric fence, but no cattle at the site. Talked to a local who said it should be fine to use the site for walkers/cyclists - but camping is prohibited. There are wasps in the toilet. :( But there is a nice freshwater lake and a small jetty, which is also used for swimming by the locals. Toilet: yes, but beware of wasps No dustbin. Fireplace in poor condition Bathing facilities: yes Bench: yes Firewood: No

A major milestone: we've rebuilt Camp Wild from the ground up.
The whole site is now faster, lighter on mobile data, and works smoothly even on a weak signal out in the wild.
- The map loads thousands of spots without slowing down.
- Pages open instantly and use far less data.
- Every spot now has its own link, so sharing a place is easy.
- Map markers no longer duplicate or get stuck while panning and zooming.
- Coordinates read from a photo are now accurate, with a clear message when a photo has no location data.
- Sign-in, comments, and reports are more reliable.
We're continuing to polish the new experience. Spotted something off? Use the Report button on any spot — thank you for helping keep the map accurate.
