Allemansrätten (right to roam) generally allows pitching for a night or two on uncultivated land, away from homes and out of sight of dwellings.
Informational only — always check current local rules and get landowner permission where needed.
It is possible to park your car in a parking space along the road, then walk about 100 m along the orange-marked path down a hill to the shelter.
The shelter is located with an opening to the west just over 10 m from the lake with a small jetty, which is difficult to swim from as it is partly under water. . .
There is room for about 6 people to stay overnight, as well as a place for a small tent. Axe, water bucket and brick fireplace.
To find the shelter just follow the marked trees - attention marking is fadet, barely seeable!!!
To the right goes a small hidden path!!
Many mosquitos in summer!!

A major milestone: we've rebuilt Camp Wild from the ground up.
The whole site is now faster, lighter on mobile data, and works smoothly even on a weak signal out in the wild.
- The map loads thousands of spots without slowing down.
- Pages open instantly and use far less data.
- Every spot now has its own link, so sharing a place is easy.
- Map markers no longer duplicate or get stuck while panning and zooming.
- Coordinates read from a photo are now accurate, with a clear message when a photo has no location data.
- Sign-in, comments, and reports are more reliable.
We're continuing to polish the new experience. Spotted something off? Use the Report button on any spot — thank you for helping keep the map accurate.
