Allemansrätten (right to roam) generally allows pitching for a night or two on uncultivated land, away from homes and out of sight of dwellings.
Informational only — always check current local rules and get landowner permission where needed.
Barbecue grates, halters and skewers were available. In the morning we saw the sign "Ved 300 m". It was hard to see in the dark. In the wood store there was some wood left. This shelter is a real gem! If you come here on a nice weekend in the spring/summer, you can expect it to be booked up already. Nice (and well-used) campsites are available at St Hoss Lake about 200m west north of the creek between the lakes. It is also possible to camp along Trönsjön just to the south.
The grove by the road has always been completely empty when I passed and the ground in the area is quite cleared.
Parking possible at the dead end road in the west.

A major milestone: we've rebuilt Camp Wild from the ground up.
The whole site is now faster, lighter on mobile data, and works smoothly even on a weak signal out in the wild.
- The map loads thousands of spots without slowing down.
- Pages open instantly and use far less data.
- Every spot now has its own link, so sharing a place is easy.
- Map markers no longer duplicate or get stuck while panning and zooming.
- Coordinates read from a photo are now accurate, with a clear message when a photo has no location data.
- Sign-in, comments, and reports are more reliable.
We're continuing to polish the new experience. Spotted something off? Use the Report button on any spot — thank you for helping keep the map accurate.
