Wild camping is generally not permitted; use designated sites. A single-night bivouac may be tolerated in some areas, but rules vary by Land and nature-protection status.
Informational only — always check current local rules and get landowner permission where needed.
To be able to camp here, a prior registration is required.
If only one or two people want to camp one night, it may also be possible free of charge. In the shelter you can always sleep without a tent.

In the forest and forest edge next to the Pfetzendorfer Weiher the oak procession spinner is discovered again and again. The affected areas have been closed off. If you still want to camp there, please avoid direct contact with the caterpillars and webs and do not stay in the immediate vicinity of the closed trees. If allergic symptoms occur, please consult a general practitioner or dermatologist and inform him or her of possible contact with these caterpillars.

A major milestone: we've rebuilt Camp Wild from the ground up.
The whole site is now faster, lighter on mobile data, and works smoothly even on a weak signal out in the wild.
- The map loads thousands of spots without slowing down.
- Pages open instantly and use far less data.
- Every spot now has its own link, so sharing a place is easy.
- Map markers no longer duplicate or get stuck while panning and zooming.
- Coordinates read from a photo are now accurate, with a clear message when a photo has no location data.
- Sign-in, comments, and reports are more reliable.
We're continuing to polish the new experience. Spotted something off? Use the Report button on any spot — thank you for helping keep the map accurate.
