Restricted; a limited network of bivouac zones exists in Wallonia.
Informational only — always check current local rules and get landowner permission where needed.
This small shelter, designed to resemble a freight car, is located directly at the former Monschau train station along the Vennbahn trail. The structure offers a unique and nostalgic place to rest, with benches and a table inside, making it a convenient spot for cyclists and hikers. The shelter is open on one side, but it still provides a decent amount of protection, making it suitable for an overnight stay, especially for those who don't mind a bit of exposure to the elements.

A major milestone: we've rebuilt Camp Wild from the ground up.
The whole site is now faster, lighter on mobile data, and works smoothly even on a weak signal out in the wild.
- The map loads thousands of spots without slowing down.
- Pages open instantly and use far less data.
- Every spot now has its own link, so sharing a place is easy.
- Map markers no longer duplicate or get stuck while panning and zooming.
- Coordinates read from a photo are now accurate, with a clear message when a photo has no location data.
- Sign-in, comments, and reports are more reliable.
We're continuing to polish the new experience. Spotted something off? Use the Report button on any spot — thank you for helping keep the map accurate.
